The story

How the line was built.

Pinnacle-Flo did not launch with five pump families. Each one was added because customers kept asking the same question and getting sent to a second supplier for the answer.

2012

Founded in Houston

Pinnacle-Flo, Inc. is established in the Houston metro area to build durable, high-performance pumps for demanding industrial environments — starting with the market on its doorstep: chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas process service.

Process

The 8896 and 8830 Series

Two ANSI process lines. The 8896 is a horizontal end-suction pump built to ANSI B73.1M across three power frames and thirty-one hydraulic sizes, to 6,000 GPM and 730 ft, in metallurgy from carbon steel through Hastelloy B and C. Standard dimensions so it drops into an existing baseplate; engineered seal chambers and extra metal in wear areas so it stays there.

The 8830 covers the same standard in two frames — the 8831 for Group 1 and the 8832 for Group 2 — across nineteen hydraulic sizes to 1,800 GPM and 780 ft, with reverse vane impellers, external impeller adjustment and Inpro bearing isolators. It is 100% interchangeable with Durco Mark III® Groups 1 and 2, so a changeout is a rotating-element swap rather than a re-pipe.

Transfer

Blue Dog AODD

Air-operated double diaphragm pumps from ½″ to 3″ for the duty a centrifugal cannot do — running dry, emptying drums and sumps, moving shear-sensitive and aggressively corrosive fluids without a mechanical seal to fail.

Solids

Self-Priming SPP & SPPX & SPPUX

Heavy-duty solids-handling pumps to 7,150 GPM passing 3″ solids, designed to run high and dry above the water level. The SPPX adds external shimless wearplate adjustment — clearance restored by hand, without disturbing the drive or the seal.

Dry Prime

PFVA Series Dry Prime Pumps

Solids-handling pumps in 4″, 6″ and 8″ to 4,850 GPM and 164 ft, passing spherical solids to 3.9″. A belt-driven air compressor primes the pump from dry and holds prime through a snoring suction, and the seal runs dry without damage — for dewatering, bypass and sump duty where the liquid level is not guaranteed.

Viscosity

Buffalo Internal Gear

Smooth, low-pulsation flow for fluids up to 2,000,000 SSU across a temperature range from −120°F to +800°F — the positive-displacement end of the line, for the fluids a centrifugal simply cannot move.

Skid Packages & Growth

Complete pump skid packages incorporating mechanical seal support systems and control panels, engineered for turnkey installation — and a continuing investment in new technologies and skilled personnel as the business diversifies into today’s world market.
